I Died / Thee Virginal Brides - Split Cassette

Circuits connect and disconnect in a continuous cycle, the thoughts getting deeper and bitterer. The pulsations quicken pace as the piece progresses, stabs of high-pitched feedback interjecting occasionally like some kind of slicing neural pain. The anger builds up as the pace quickens but suddenly it just dissipates, eventually segueing into a voice saying something like “... you have the power within you..”; but once more the machine returns to its brooding silence.

I Shalt Become - In the Falling Snow

The music offered by this entity is about as bleak as it comes.  The pain doesn't show itself as an emotion.  This is neither depressive nor hateful black metal, it is simply existence without color.  Desolate, dusty and grey...

I Shalt Become - Requiem

"The Casket Letters” begins majestuously with a catchy first part. As well as on some previous tracks, the distortion of guitar sound gets far more discrete and rather the tunes than the sound aesthetic are developed.

I...Deviant - Memento Mori

Barely spinning in the CD deck, this five piece silver-compacted neophyte instantly let us know what kind of specific sensations can we enjoy from it as a intense and opaque radiation is spreading at each and every continuous second. Yes, from the very beginning a heavy synth anticipate the open gates of what seems to be, a barren landscape submitted to the tyranny of a endless night that dissolve in bleak sadness any hopeless fragment of light.

I: WOUND - The Siamese Box

Basing the structures into noise defragmentation and electronic mutations including sources from rivers/TV/birds and cows, just to name a few of sounds manipulated in this track.

Iamblichi - All Worlds

It establishes a decent enough groove but dissipates into the ether before any significant sense of self identity is realized. Not until 'Ray Of Creation' does it's thing for eighteen minutes are we rewarded with anything overly substantial. Strangely enough, it's an electronic space affair falling somewhere between the Doug Walker/Jeff Carney school of improvised music and mid-period Tangerine Dream. The difference is digital, but it still has enough of a retro-flavor to provide some nostalgia for the analogue masterpieces. This is something to really sink into, but probably would have worked better on it's own as an EP.

Ianva - Disobbedisco!

Ianva has accomplished a major feat with “Disobbedisco.” “Disobbedisco” is possibly the most thematically dense musical piece I have ever heard. Ianva has created a story that entwines dramatic historical events with a tragic romantic narrative. This visionary album could not have been produced without the authentic talent that each participating musician has brought with them to Ianva. Ianva’s collective of Italian musicians have done an outstanding job of communicating the story of the album while imbuing the music with a distinct Italian identity that innovatively draws inspiration from the last forty decades of Italian music.

Ianva - L'Occidente

I think Ianva is one of those bands being an example that ones can be serious without any politics in their music. You may call the band neofolk, because the form looks quite similar (trumpets, marching drums, work with samples, accordeon), but it won’t stand in a row with those bands that prefer filling the form with some propaganda. I like Ianva, because they have a style, a style that they follow through their works – retro, vintage, which I find really attractive and worthy to come back to it again and again. In L’Occidente Ianva continues the musical line we could hear in “Disobbedisco!”, but L’Occidente sounds less militant, kind of softer and more prideful – maybe because it is shorter (only 4 tracks).'

Ice Ages - Buried Silence

It will fulfil the fans of Ice Ages and the few people who appreciate this music style. But, not only! All the people who're a bit fed up of all EBM/hellektroindus clones might discover new musical territories through Ice Ages' hybridization of different music styles and several epochs. The rather noisier orientation of this album may please all the people searching for more distorted beats, while the people fond of melodies may not be less satisfied.

Iced Earth - Overture of the Wicked Single

Iced Earth...a name synonymous with power metal acts all over the world, and primarily the florida scene, has a baby planned for birth in the coming years; a trilogy of albums entitled Something Wicked this way Comes.  This "Overture of the Wicked" single is a preview of what will be heard on this upcoming Iced Earth era, and believe me, this preview has shown me that these albums will be well worth the wait.
