Plastic Violence

Artist: Plastic Violence Italy

Title: Plastic Violence

Label: Self Released

Genre: Electronica / Experimental / New Wave

1 Passing-by
2 Breathless
3 American Astronauts Sabbah Transmission From Mars To Magnify The Holy Pentagram

With very little information provided, I'm concluding that this is a sampler of sorts. Two of the tracks are culled from compilation releases and the other is from a sound-art exhibition in Copenhagen.

There isn't anything remarkable here although it's a pleasant enough listen. The first piece is a gradual accellerando of some grainy digital samples that eventually slows back to its original tempo and dissipated into fadeout drone. Track two is a glitchy affair that reminds me of the 'scrub' effect that is a feature with so much audio software these days. It is completely devoid of development, which is not always a bad thing, but here it comes across as lazy. This segues into the final track which adds a synthesized drum track and some heavilyprocessed vocal whispering that I assume is English from the gratuitously worded title.

The only other factual information I can share is that is was written, recorded and mixed by Paolillo Fabrizio at Death Paradise Home between April 2004 and October 2005. And that's a shame to leave the curious, myself included, out in the cold.
